After examination and immobilising the wing, a long period of recovery began. Owls are wary patients, so we created conditions as close to natural as possible and kept human contact to a minimum, so the bird would not grow used to being cared for.
Gradually the owl began to fly again. When it became clear that the wing could bear a full load, we were certain: she was ready to go home — to the wild.
