This spring we completed one of the season's largest releases — fourteen ravens returned to the wild after several weeks of rehabilitation.Each bird arrived weakened, so recovery was gradual: first treatment and feeding, then flight training in a spacious aviary.The release took place in the Roztochia nature reserve, where the ravens join an existing flock — making it easier to adapt.
This spring we completed one of the largest releases of the season — fourteen ravens that had spent several weeks in rehabilitation at the centre returned to the wild.
Each of the birds had arrived weakened, so recovery happened gradually: first treatment and feeding, then flight training in a spacious aviary. Only once the birds held themselves confidently in the air did we prepare them for return.
The release took place in the Roztochia nature reserve. There the ravens are introduced to an existing flock — that makes it easier for them to adapt and find their place among wild relatives. Birds that, for various reasons, cannot live on their own remain in our care.
